Interdisciplinary Research in Supply Chain and Logistics

The Interdisciplinary Research in Supply Chain and Logistics (IRiSCaL), based at the University of Stirling, is a hub for dynamic and impactful research. We bring together scholars from across disciplines to tackle the complex challenges facing global supply chains and logistics systems.

Purpose

IRiSCaL is built on two core pillars:

• Collaboration: We foster interdisciplinary collaboration that leads to grant applications, high-quality publications, and actionable insights. Our work is grounded in real-world relevance and academic excellence.
• Community & Engagement: We actively build a vibrant research community and engage with external stakeholders, including policymakers, industry practitioners (such as procurement teams), and media partners (e.g., BBC documentaries and press coverage).
